PLANTATION SOAP Take 6 pounds of potash, and 4 pounds of lard and 1/4 pound of rosin. Beat up the rosin and mix well together. Set it aside for five days. Then put the whole into a ten gallon cask of warm water and stir twice a day for ten days. At the end of which time you will have 100 pounds of soap.
